During the Prosweets, scheduled in Cologne from January 29th to February 1st, Schut Systems and PilloPak will introduceLock-Well®, a completely new tray concept with compartements. Such a tray, both companies say, has not been manufactured out of ultra light corrugated paper before. It's an environmental friendly alternative to plastic trays.

The concept consists of a special tray erector, which can be integrated in an existing packaging line, and an unfolded tray delivered as plano.
This plano of corrugated paper is formed quickly and efficiently to a tray with compartements by means of the tray erector. This way of folding reminiscents of the Japanese folding art, called Origami, because no glue is used.

Lock-Well® with dividers prevents breakage, is light weight and suitable for the packaging of cakes, biscuits, chocolates, nibbles, snacks and sweets.There are various possibilities in terms of material composition. Biodegradable coatings are among the options. The trays can also be equipped with a customized printing.
